Kevin De Bruyne hailed as a ‘class act’ by Ryan Christie after Belgium masterclass

Ryan Christie has confessed that he aspires to be just like”class act” Kevin De Bruyne after the Belgium midfielder dominated the 4-0 win over Scotland.
The Manchester City star set up first-half targets for Romelu Lukaku, Thomas Vermaelen and Toby Alderweireld since the traffic punished mistakes by the side in their European Qualifier of Steve Clarke .
The 28-year-old then curled at a fourth with ease in the 82nd minute to round off the attacking midfielder of Celtic and also the grading De Bruyne, who has started his national season after struggling with injury final term impressed Christie.
“He is a class act,” Christie said. “These are the sort of players that I expect to. He’s in a similar situation to me. The positions he selects and how he hurts teams and his finishing too.
“The ball in for their next aim was frightening and his end to its fourth is pretty impressive also.
“It’s good for me. I want to test myself against the best teams in the world so it is a learning experience for me so hopefully I learn from it and move on.”
The conquer was the fourth out of six in Group I that leaves them in fifth place of Scotland and without a stage after losing 2-1 at home to Russia on Friday night.
The side of clarke have four matches remaining, Russia away and San Marino at home next month, until Kazakhstan at Hampden in November and Cyprus off. Christie insists he is convinced of Scotland qualifying for a significant tournament for the first time since 1998.
He said:”Moving to it (the effort ) we had the play-offs because of fall-back, we did not wish to have to work with it but it seems like we’re going to have to if we’re going to create it there.
“Obviously they had been two very unsatisfactory outcomes but after that, we nevertheless feel like a group. We have taken more of the ideas of this manager on board. I know that it sounds daft getting beat at 4-0 in the home but I believe there are.
“It’s the small things that cost you in this level in football, especially against a team such as Belgium. They scored in their first counter-attack. It is tough to nullify and the caliber they have if they go ahead is exceptional.
“That is the amount we are trying to reach. We’ve got four matches left in the team to finish as large as we can and take that in the play-off.”
